Answer:             A Recon machine is a dyeing machine that has been completely reconditioned in our works in Switzerland. Each machine part  is checked and replaced if required. Very often the control cabinet, control panel as well as various fittings are new.

Question:           What delivery times do I have to consider? 

Answer:            Certain completely reconditioned machines are available ex stock. Otherwise delivery will be effected as soon as possible.

Question:           How will installation and commissioning be executed?

Answer:            You can choose which Thies service is required, exactly as with new machines.

Question:           Can I modify the technical specification of the  Recon machine so that it better matches my requirements?

Answer:            Yes, you can,  each machine can be modified. Details and options must be discussed with one of our sales engineers.

Question:           Can I choose various stages of automation?

Answer:            Yes, you can. We deliver any level of automation you request, including the appropriate controller. Or either without control if you want to provide it on your own.

Question:           Will the machine fit in my building?

Answer:            Our sales engineers will be pleased to discuss this with you just as they do for new machines.

Question:          Are the relevant approval documents available for high temperature machines?

Answer:            Yes, they are. Each HT machine is delivered with the complete set of approval documents.

Question:          Do the Recon machines still meet today’s technical requirements?

Answer:            Yes, they do. On one hand we have quite „young“ machines, which are presently delivered in identical design as new machines. On the other hand, older machines are being modified upon request (functions, automation, etc) such way that they have up to date standard.

Question:          How old can a  Recon machine be, still ensuring long term reliability?

Answer:            As almost all machines are re-automated and moving parts often replaced it is only the kier which has the original year of manufacture.  Kiers are fully inspected so you can be confident that a Recon machine has the same life span as a new machine. Consequently the year of manufacture is irrelevant.
